NUCLEAR FOREST
20.12.2023 — 21.1.2024
In the works of the Nuclear Forest exhibition, we journey through and camp in a no-man’s land, where subjects and phenomena have merged with each other in multiple layers and become partially unrecognizable. This area is located somewhere in between the familiar local backwoods and unknown hinterland.
The works are made with mixed media on different board materials.
Konsta Huusko (b.1982, Sotkamo) graduated from Aalto University’s visual culture department in 2010. His work is included in the collections of the Wihuri Foundation and the City of Rovaniemi and has most recently been exhibited in the Navigating North exhibition in the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma in 2022 and the Rovaniemi Art Museum Korundi in Rovaniemi in 2023. Huusko lives and works in Rovaniemi.
Arts Promotion Center Finland and Finnish Cultural Foundation, Lapland Regional Fund have supported the exhibition.
